It is intended to help engineers, scientists, and mathematicians with their reading of the following topics: kinetics, dynamics, vibrations, waves and sound. The first two parts of the book are about basic mechanics. Part 3 is about vibration. Part 4 covers acoustics and waves including sound waves. The last chapter discusses techniques for solving problems in physics using mathematics including Newton's laws. He studied both Physics and Mathematics at the University of Paris where he obtained his doctorate in Physics under the supervision of Professor F Ayrault. He then studied Mathematics at Yale University with Professor S Kesten and Quantum Mechanics at MIT under Professor H Hayashi and Professors C C Lin and Y H Wang. He then taught mathematics at MIT. In 1968, he returned to Greece and taught Mathematics at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki from 1968-1971.
